Giving is about worship, faith, love, and the harvest. When you help God bring in His harvest, He will bring a harvest to you. (2 Corinthians 9:6–11)
Throughout the Bible bringing a sacrifice or gift is a fundamental part of worship. The tithe (10%) is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith and love. Those who bring their tithe into the Lord’s storehouse can expect the windows of heaven to open and THE BLESSING to pour out. (Malachi 3:10)
An offering, giving above the tithe, is support of God’s work in a specific area or effort for His Kingdom; outreaches, expansion, ministries or missions. A person who gives from the heart may expect that gifts(seed) will return to them “good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.” (Luke 6:38)
